CPM FM 234 cables have a larger cross-section than standard CPM cables, at 0.34 mm². This larger cross-section ensures optimal transmission quality and lower signal loss, making it the perfect microphone cable for long-distance transmission at large events.
**To go even further.** The electrical signals that travel through microphone cables are characterised by very low levels and intensities, and are easily interfered with and attenuated. To limit these phenomena, microphone cables are fortunately balanced and shielded. However, beyond 6 to 10 metres, the signal from a microphone can weaken due to the high resistance of a small-section cable. The CMK 234 used in the CPM FM 234 has been specially designed to limit this phenomenon, thanks to a thick cross-section of 0.34 mm² with a resistance of only 58 ohms/km, compared to 80 ohms/km in the case of a standard microphone cable.
**Made in Germany.** Like all cables sold by the metre by Cordial, the CPM FM-234 has been manufactured in Germany to very strict specifications in order to meet the standards of audio professionals. Its two 0.34 mm² conductors are machined from oxygen-free copper, which guarantees exceptional transmission quality and extended longevity. Like its little brother, the CPM FM, the CPM FM-234 features highly effective spiral copper shielding and a robust PVC jacket, making it perfect for stage and studio use.
**Flexibility that is not to be overlooked.** Contrary to what one might think, the CPM FM-234 retains excellent flexibility despite its larger cross-section, which is often synonymous with rigidity. This feature has been made possible by an advanced design in which each conductor is constructed with 26 strands of 0.127 mm. This unique feature results in a cable that combines flexibility with maximum signal transmission.
