Seymour Duncan signature Jimi Hendrix: do you have enough experience? On March 28, 1968, a young Seymour W. Duncan met Jimi Hendrix at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jimi was there for two concerts at the Field House Arena. That day, Seymour brought a gift for Jimi: pickups he had hand-wound especially for him. Roger Mayer installed these pickups on Jimi's white Stratocaster, and Jimi asked Seymour to bring it to him on stage. This event was decisive for Seymour's career and future. Today, this legendary sound becomes accessible to all through three configurations: install them on your Strat and start living the Jimi Hendrix experience. Each pickup has a reversed magnet to simulate the effect of a right-handed guitar played upside down and strung for a left-hander, and the pickup covers bear the master's signature.
