A YAS 62 saxophone with multiple assets A unique bell engraving technique
Hand-engraved by craftsmen after varnishing, the engraving is designed to accentuate the contrast with the brass. The beauty of the engraved design enhances the luxurious appearance of the YAS-62A. A specially developed top coat ensures that the instrument retains its beauty for many years to come.
The neck The neck of the YAS62 features a slightly tighter bore for faster response and better control. Its specific shape allows for better airflow, improving playing comfort and enabling every musician to achieve a centred sound.
The neck clamp ring The professional-style neck receiver reinforces the cohesion between the neck and the body, resulting in richer tones. It allows you to choose between the Style 62 neck supplied and those designed for Yamaha Custom Z and Custom EX saxophones (sold separately).
The octave key with a regular joint A simple but functional octave joint to ensure fluidity.
The 62" design The traditional body shape is adopted, making the sound brighter and the playing feel lighter. The engraving is more elaborate, with extremely fine details, giving the YAS62 a very fine finish.
Ergonomic key layout The layout of the keys is designed to fit the human hand. This allows players to concentrate on their performance without feeling stressed. What's more, this type of keybed adds moderate resistance and makes the instrument ring when blown.
The right key The unique teardrop-shaped F-key improves playability. It adapts to players' preferences. The left-hand rocker (Bb) has also been designed to make playing easier and more comfortable. Finally, the two-point contact has been adopted for improved projection and free response. The bells support the instrument so that it vibrates well when the musicians blow into it. The separate guards are fitted with adjustable stop screws, making it easy to adjust the height of the keys, as on our professional models. The B - low C# key matching mechanism, ensures smooth, precise action of the low C# key and clear note response in the low register.
