The Plasma Voice is a monophonic modular synthesiser in Eurorack format that produces sounds by controlling high-voltage electrical discharges between the 2 electrodes of a Xenon tube. These discharges are converted into an analogue audio signal using a specially designed rectifier circuit. The result is a wide range of electrifying sounds that capture the character and intensity of the bright blue electric arc. The electrical discharges are driven by a special pulse-width oscillator. This oscillator is modulated by predefined samples and envelope shapes that you can select, engage, modify and modulate with sliders and CV (control voltage) inputs. This gives you total control over the electrical discharges and the sounds they generate. Plasma Voice's built-in sample selection is organised into banks dedicated to specific musical parts. However, you can transform each of them beyond their original purpose by adjusting the sliders that offer in-depth control of the Plasma Engine.

Sounds are complex digital audio modules that act on the plasma's high-voltage distortion to derive a multitude of sound types. The various effects blocks include pulse-width and frequency modulation of the high-voltage saturation, as well as pitch modulation, envelope time stretch, wavefold, crossmod and suboctave modulation.
