Oskar Rieding Concerto in B minor op. 35 for violin
Annette Oppermann (Publisher)
Maruša Zupan?i? (Foreword)
The name of Oskar Rieding is rarely found in concert programs, but it is even more common among violin students. Because even today, his small concert pieces for violin and piano, designed for beginners in the early years of the twentieth century, still hold their place in the curriculum and in class hearings. The concerto in B minor op. 35 is, with its limitation in the first position, a true model for beginners. With regard to the Urtext edition, based on the first edition, the publisher Annette Oppermann received an important support: the Slovenian specialist of Rieding, Maruša Zupan?i?, proposes an interesting preface on this little-known composer.
