A compact piano with a sound and functions that meet the needs of experienced pianists
Yamaha's P Series digital pianos are popular with pianists around the world who want the comfort of an acoustic piano in a more manageable size and weight. Compared to its predecessor, the P-225 has a much shorter, slimmer body and compact styling. This model looks stunning from every angle and fits perfectly into any room. To reduce the size of the chassis, we've developed the new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard (88 keys), which meets uncompromising standards and offers the same playing feel as the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keys used in previous P-series models. The P-225 takes its sound from Yamaha's first concert grand piano, the CFX, and this model uses Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite technology to reproduce the expressive, moment-by-moment key changes that occur in a real grand piano. Whether you're an experienced pianist or a serious beginner looking to learn how to play, the P-225 is the ideal choice.

We recommend this model for
- Players looking for a weighted keyboard with the same feel as an acoustic piano - People who want to have a piano in their home but don't have a lot of space to do so - People who want a second piano

The new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard offers a realistic playing feel.
One of the main concerns pianists have when buying a digital piano is how the keyboard feels when they play. These include whether they can feel the weight of the keys in their fingers as they would on a weighted acoustic piano keyboard, whether the keyboard reacts accurately when they play fast passages, whether there are any inconsistencies between the force with which they play the keys and the resulting sound, and whether the keyboard offers a sufficient dynamic range from softest to loudest. The GHS keyboards used so far in the P series have received high praise from customers for the excellent balance and playability mentioned above. The new, more compact GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard in the new P series replicates in every respect the playing comfort of its predecessors. What's more, the keyboard unit is more compact than on previous models, while still offering an exceptional playing feel.

The sound of Yamaha's first concert grand piano, the CFX
The P-225 offers the sound of Yamaha's top-of-the-range CFX concert grand piano, with shimmering highs and powerful lows. This model is equipped with Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite, a digital technology that realistically reproduces the complex resonance produced by the strings of a grand piano, changing each time according to the pressure exerted on the keys. With the P-225, you can enjoy the sound of a concert grand piano played and enjoyed by renowned pianists, as well as its infinitely realistic resonance. Of course, this instrument does not need to be tuned.

Place the instrument wherever you like, or take it with you
One of the problems facing pianists is that the traditional piano is often too big to fit into a room. What's more, pianists can't take their instrument with them. The P-225 provides a brilliant solution to these problems. The elegant design of this instrument fits perfectly into any room and is available in black or white to match the ambience. Thanks to the optional soft case, you can take this instrument with you into the studio, to gigs or on trips, whenever you need it.

Easier access to the instrument's features via the app
By pairing the P-225 with Yamaha's dedicated Smart Pianist digital piano app, you can intuitively perform all operations on the P-225 from the screen of your smart device. There's no need to dig out the manual to see how things work. *To connect a smart device to a musical instrument to use the app, you can use a cable or connect wirelessly using the Yamaha UD-BT01 (sold separately; for iOS only).

Minimalist design with the feel of a grand piano
With a design that pays homage to the classic aesthetics of a grand piano, the P-225 blends seamlessly into the interior of any home, and aims to give the player the true feel of playing a grand piano.
