The range of graphic equalizers 12 is designed for demanding sound environments. It consists of two models with two channels: the 1215 (2 x 15/3 bands of Octave, 2U format) and the 1231 (2 x 31 1/3 bands of Octave, 3u format).
DBX 1215 and 1231 both offer common characteristics such as central frequencies at ISO standard, a 12 dB entrance range, Bessel cutting filters switched at 18 dB / Octave at 40 Hz and 45 mm racing faders, as well as a 6 dB or 15 dB switching from efficiency, connectors offering both XLR, 6.35 mm jack and terminal blocks, symmetrical inputs/outputs, An electrical mass/chassis decoupling and an internal supply transformer. Housed in a robust steel and aluminum case, the DBX 12 serial equalizations are precisely designed for years of use and a foolproof reliability.
For compatibility with all types of installations, the 12 series is equipped with armored transformers of inputs and outputs with electronic symmetry with HF filters and a bypass per relay during the cut of the sector. The switchboard has a delay of 2 seconds.
dbx has selected the best components for the 12 serial equalizers, which results in a linear bandwidth of 10 Hz at 50 kHz, a signal /noise ratio greater than 90 dB (Ref. +4 DBU), a 0.0005 % distortion (1 kHz at +4 dbu) and a diaphony less than -80 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
