The RØDE Broadcaster is a condenser microphone with large diaphragm at the front, designed for broadcast applications. Its sound characteristics with accentuated proximity effect deliver the rich quality sound, sought after by all radio stations. It also lends itself very well to dubbing or voice-over for films and television. The Broadcaster contains a pop filter that minimizes plosive noise to avoid overloading the capsule, which can cause audio distortion. In addition to a bandwidth of 20Hz ~ 20kHz, the Broadcaster offers a high pass filter (75Hz) which cuts out low-frequency noise from air conditioning or traffic, for example. In addition, the Broadcaster has an ?On-Air? indicator that can be controlled by the On / Mute button of many mixing consoles. When the microphone is not connected to a mixing console, the lit indicator indicates that the microphone is powered.
