50€ less than its big sister, this short scale bass does a very good job! The scale length is therefore shorter than a standard bass and corresponds to the string length of a normal 6-string electric guitar. It is suitable for small hands but also for those who appreciate the comfort of a reduced bass. It is not a toy though! It is versatile and suitable for the use of a beginner as well as an intermediate player. For my part, it will allow me to add bass tracks on recordings (I have been playing guitar for over 10 years) and to practice. The body finish is exemplary: quite dark brown and matte, showing the pores and small reliefs of the wood. It is sober and flawless. The neck is pleasant but there are still some traces of glue or paint that come off when cleaning gently. The neck is screwed: out of 4 screws, one is more recessed and it does not seem normal. The fingerboard is scratched in places and whitened, the finish on this side must have been quick. Maybe to fix by sanding gently with a fine grain and nourishing the fingerboard with oil or any product suitable for rosewood and its derivatives. The angle of the fingerboard at the 22nd fret was splintering. These small finishing issues do not detract from the instrument and do not compromise playability. This Ibanez bass is my first one, for some time now, I wanted to learn this instrument. My choice was based on customer reviews from buyers of this bass, including beginners. Moreover, it has a great look, I love this wood color... Regarding use, the neck is perfect for learning, it produces a good sound (it is connected to my PS5 and the sound output is Logitech THX).

Very practical for its price, I was looking for a short scale bass that wasn't too expensive and I came across this model, and I absolutely do not regret my purchase, the sound is decent and especially being a guitarist originally, the neck is identical to that of a guitar which is very practical when switching from one instrument to another.
