Obviously this Moog shakes up traditions a bit and that's good. Big brother of the Grandmother, it impresses with its colorful layout that clearly states its conceptual modularity. Like in a cockpit, the zones and colors become a precious aid for newcomers to synthesis, and that's exactly Moog's target: to make an instrument that will evolve with the knowledge of its user. Under its totally charming vintage 60s look, the quality is there: metal everywhere except the hard plastic sides which are a happy reminder of those years: in short, it breathes solidity and one can only regret this curious ridiculous external power supply worthy of a Chinese accessory. Legendary synthesizer, by a legendary company, that has revolutionized music several times in the past, and probably did it again with this equipment.
The sound is superb, the manual is comprehensive and full of good ideas, the build quality is exceptional... It's a magnificent musical instrument, nothing to complain about!
