Casio AP-270 BK CELVIANO

Description

Casio Celviano AP-270 – Elegant and Expressive Digital Piano

The Casio AP-270 from the Celviano series is a digital piano designed to offer musicians an experience close to that of a real grand piano, while remaining accessible and versatile. Thanks to its realistic three-sensor keyboard, Morphing AiR sound technology, and numerous educational functions, it is the ideal instrument both for learning and for performing.

Keyboard

  • 88-key keyboard with Tri-Sensor II scaled hammer action.
  • 3 sensors to detect the speed and intensity of keystrokes.
  • Simulated ebony and ivory keys: a slightly textured surface that prevents fingers from slipping and provides the feel of an acoustic piano.
  • 3 levels of touch sensitivity: volume and tone vary depending on how hard you play.
  • Hammer response: adjusts the reaction time of the hammer mechanism.

Sound

  • Sound source: AiR (Acoustic & Intelligent Resonator) technology for a rich and realistic sound.
  • 192-note polyphony: play complex pieces without sound dropouts, even when using the sustain pedal.
  • 22 tones: including 2 legendary grand piano sounds and other instruments (organs, strings, harpsichords, etc.), ideal for varying styles.
  • Damper resonance: creates a natural resonance effect when using the sustain pedal.

Effects

  • Reverb (4 types): recreates the acoustics of a concert hall or a more intimate room.
  • Chorus (4 types): adds depth to the sound.
  • Brilliance: allows you to brighten or darken the tone.
  • DSP (Digital Signal Processing): preset effects for certain tones.

Educational functions

  • 60 built-in songs with lesson function (right hand, left hand, or both hands separately).
  • Add up to 10 custom songs (up to 320 KB per song).
  • Duet mode: ideal for playing together or for teaching.

Advanced functions

  • Dual mode: layer two sounds.
  • Split mode: divide the keyboard to assign different voices to each hand.
  • Concert mode: accompany the pianist with 10 high-quality orchestral recordings.
  • Transposition: -12 to +12 semitones.
  • Octave shift: -2 to +2 octaves to adjust pitch without changing fingering.
  • Fine tuning: 415.5 Hz to 465.9 Hz to adjust pitch to the cent of a semitone.
  • Temperaments: Equal temperament + 16 variations for historical and stylistic tunings.
  • Tuning control: ideal for playing with other instruments.
  • Metronome: 1 to 9 beats, tempo 20 to 255.
  • CASIO MUSIC SPACE app for learning and remote control.

Recording

  • MIDI recorder: 2 tracks, 1 song, approx. 5,000 notes. Perfect for listening back and analyzing your playing.

Connectivity

  • 2 headphone outputs: play in silence with a teacher or a friend.
  • USB to Host: Type A. Connect to a computer or tablet to use music software or apps.
  • Triple pedal input: damper (continuous and half-pedal), soft, sostenuto.

Delivery within the right time slots. The piano is not long to assemble (about 20 minutes), the sound is very good. I like it a lot. <3 I highly recommend this piano! :)

I don't understand much about music, but I would say it is perfectly suitable for a new beginner musician

The piano is perfectly suitable for a beginner. The sound quality is good with headphones but it crackles a bit when unplugged (this is not annoying if you are not used to real pianos). I bought mine directly from a piano seller for €150 less.

A slight crackling when playing in the highs.. Otherwise the instrument is perfect although somewhat unintuitive for tone/split/metronome settings

Good piano for its price, much more stable than with a cross stand. Too bad the settings like metronome, etc... are not more intuitive.
