Common Features:
Compatible with Allen & Heath digital consoles Qu, SQ, and GLD, the ME-1 is the most comprehensive personal monitoring unit in the ME range thanks to its numerous configurable options and advanced features.
An essential companion for Allen & Heath consoles on stage.
You are on stage, instrument in hand, ready to sing or strum your chord, but at the crucial moment, you only hear the other band members through your monitor speaker... To avoid this situation, the ME-1 was developed to interface directly with an Allen & Heath Qu, SQ, or GLD digital console. Thanks to the proprietary dSnake protocol, it communicates with the mixing console and receives multiple audio channels. ME systems can also be used with third-party consoles via a ME-U hub and a Dante audio card.
Take control of your monitor mix!
Very easy to set up, the ME-1 offers musicians a clear and accessible interface. The control panel features 16 backlit rubber user buttons, perfectly visible in the dark, on which the musician can easily assign a mono or stereo source, or even a group. This makes it possible to simply control the level of a vocal mic, a stereo track, or a full drum kit via a group. This group function allows mixing of 40 sources with only 16 buttons, saving the consoles mix outputs, on which conventional monitor systems depend. Note that each channel has level control, pan, and a 3-band EQ.
A personal monitor designed with musicians in mind.
In addition to the 16 backlit user buttons, the control panel includes a variable brightness OLED screen that provides an overview of the pan and level parameters of the selected channel. All parameters can be adjusted via a simple control knob that allows menu access and navigation through various functions such as input level, limiter, or equalizer. Allen & Heath thought of everything by equipping the ME-1 with a built-in microphone with adjustable level, so the musician can hear ambient conversations without removing their headphones.
A robust and complete product.
Designed for both studio and stage use, the ME-1 is notably rugged. Well equipped in terms of connections, it features a stereo minijack auxiliary input, a dSnake EtherCon input to receive the console signal, and a same-format output to connect another ME system in chain. The unit also includes 2 headphone outputs in jack and minijack formats, as well as a line output to feed an external speaker if needed.
The true cornerstone of the Allen & Heath ME monitoring system, the ME-1 is a highly configurable and comprehensive personal monitor, while remaining simple to use and accessible to any musician.
The ME-1 personal monitoring unit gives musicians control over their monitor mix. It allows each user to achieve their preferred personalized setting, offering a choice between maximum detailed mix control and simplified operation limited to a few adjustments. Intuitive, elegant, and easy to use, the ME-1 provides excellent clarity
