These open-back studio headphones are a reliable tool for any audio enthusiast. The wide stereo image and three-dimensional sound reproduction make the beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO headphones a faithful companion for producers. Exceptional tonal depth ensures that even small changes in acoustic source positioning can be heard during mixing.

With its open design, the circumaural receiver features exceptional spatiality and detailed depth gradation. The 80 ohm version impresses with the proven sound signature of the DT 990 PRO: prominent bass and extroverted highs. Compared to the 250 ohm version, high frequencies are slightly reduced. The single-sided cable allows the headphones to be put in and taken out frequently without tangling cables, and the soft, adjustable earcups provide additional comfort. The sturdy spring steel headband design ensures that the over-ear headphones also provide a secure fit.

Good headphones, very comfortable, identical in this respect to the DT 770. The output volume of this DT 990 is slightly lower, for quality I prefer the DT 770 but the difference is minimal. The cable is 1.5 m but it can be stretched well, no problem on that side. The ambient noise is not modified. If you wear these headphones to play an acoustic instrument you will hear it at the same volume. So to play drums, it's better to put ear protection under the headphones, a solution I had experimented with in the studio and that I prefer to in-ear monitors. Certainly you sacrifice a bit of listening, but you preserve your inner ear.

Excellent product, for the 250 ohms however think about having a way to amplify the sound, it is not a simple headset that plugs into any jack output. The headset has a very good sound, very "airy". The comfort is quite good, it pinches a little at the beginning and the top of one of my ears hurt a bit, but over time or by slightly forcing the spread, you can improve the comfort. On the other hand, this headset does not cover external noises, I bought it knowingly so it is not a defect, but a point to consider if you are in a noisy environment, moreover people around can easily hear the sounds coming from your headset.

I had one that was used daily for 4 years, one ear stopped working afterwards. So I had to buy a new one here. Probably the most comfortable headset I've ever used (thanks to the velvet earpads), good sound that suits me (consider pairing it with an amp to provide the right impedance for the headset in my case 250ohms) whether listening to music, gaming, or chatting with friends on Discord. I just take away one star for the need to have an amp which takes away a bit of the plug'n play aspect but otherwise it's all good in my opinion :)

headphones for mixing composition it's very good for beginners or for amateur beginners for those who prefer open/semi-open headphones that give a much more critical sound apparently I like open listening, in terms of value for money perfect, the comfort too you will not regret it. after for much more reliable headphones you have to go up a notch on the price 600 euros minimum anyway

The headset itself is a little marvel for the price, it's exactly what I was looking for for my studio with a very neutral sound, you can really hear everything and it's very pleasant for mixing, alternating with speakers. I maybe just regret the cord that cannot be removed from the headset.. (be careful, it's an open headset so use it in a quiet environment)

In my opinion, the DT-990 pro headset is a professional headset that offers a neutral and excellent sound quality for musicians, producers, as well as audiophiles. Bought to play on Kawai CN39 digital piano, it is perfect. The sound seems to surround us and come from the piano itself and not from the headphones, and it is comfortable enough to wear for hours. A bit tight for glasses, but maybe it will get better with time.

Quite accurate once calibrated with Sonarworks. Pleasant to work with and comfortable Good reproduction of low frequencies and clarity in the mids, highs, the spatialization is good. A safe bet! (cable not easily replaceable, otherwise it's perfect)
