SCHOEPS offers the bestsellers of the “Colette” range in the form of paired microphone kits. The wooden case contains two complete microphones with two paired MK capsules, SG20 stand adapters, B5D windscreens and CMC6 analog microphone amplifiers.
The stereo set capsules are delivered with their pairing certificate. It is a document that guarantees extremely low dispersion of level and response curve characteristics. These curves are archived, as with all SCHOEPS capsules, and serve as a reference in case they need to return to the factory for verification or repair. This is the assurance of being able to extend the great longevity of SCHOEPS products, and of ensuring that the performances, for which they were chosen, are always at their highest level.
If this microphone capsule is used indoors at medium recording distances (i.e. when the direct sound energy is similar in quantity to the reflected sound energy), its overall response will be linear. Its wide frequency response and low noise level make it suitable for the most demanding applications. The MK 2H's acoustic input is narrower than our other pressure transducers, resulting in a slight rise in purely acoustic response/capture above 6 kHz. This reduces high frequency loss for diffuse sound, helping to preserve natural sound quality.
