Description

Essential Information About the Yamaha TAS3 C TransAcoustic Natural Guitar

  • Concert cutaway body, solid Sitka spruce A.R.E. top, solid mahogany back/sides for precise and warm response.
  • Built-in effects: reverb, chorus, and delay, plus looper and "tap" sensor, no pedals or amp needed.
  • Bluetooth Audio and line output for easy practice, recording, or stage performance.
  • Rechargeable Li-ion battery ~=5.5 hours with magnetic charging, controllable via the "TAG Remote" iOS/Android app.

When TransAcoustic Innovation Meets Traditional Luthiery

With the TransAcoustic series, Yamaha combines refined luthiery with actuator technology that vibrates the guitar body itself. This TAS3 C generation takes the concept further: internal effects are complemented by an intuitive looper and Bluetooth Audio, transforming the guitar into a true portable studio while preserving the natural tone of a fully solid instrument.

For Whom and For What Uses?

Ideal for singer-songwriters, solo performers, and the modern acoustic player, the TAS3 C suits intermediate to advanced levels while remaining inspiring for ambitious beginners. It excels in folk, pop, fingerstyle, or accompaniment, at home, in rehearsals, on stage, or in direct recording thanks to the line output.

The Sound

The solid Sitka spruce top treated with A.R.E. offers an "open" and mature response, with precise attack and generous sustain. The solid mahogany back and sides provide velvety mids and rounded lows, while the concert body shape focuses projection for excellent string-to-string balance. Inside, two actuators add organic reverbs and modulations that blend with the acoustic sound without altering the playing dynamics.
