The DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor includes a machined metal wheel and only offers editing specific keys. It includes Bluetooth and an internal battery for wireless connection, but it can also be connected via USB-C. It is therefore even more portable than a standard keyboard!
Next generation editing
DaVinci Resolve keyboards have been designed in conjunction with the Cut page to dramatically speed up editing. Unlike the software, you have physical controls to perfect your experience. The rubber-coated machined metal scroll wheel offers precise search and positioning on the timeline, unlike a mouse. It's a bit like holding the timeline in your hand! The Trim keys allow the wheel to be used for live trimming. You therefore gain in speed, because the latter is larger and more precise. Editing and cropping with the wheel is a revolutionary way to work. DaVinci Resolve gives you next-generation editing.
Control with the wheel
With DaVinci Resolve keyboards, you'll feel closer to your edit than with a mouse. Because the wheel is machined metal, you can spin it quickly to move around the timeline. You can also use it for live cropping. Just press one of the Trim buttons to turn it into a precise real-time trimming command. Once you've experimented with cropping with the scroll wheel, it's next to impossible to switch back to using the mouse!
A revolutionary design
Broadcasters use large studio cameras that are expensive and not very mobile. The Blackmagic Studio Camera has all the advantages of a large studio camera because, despite its small size, it is both a camera and a viewfinder. It features a lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate housing with innovative technology in a miniaturized design. As the camera is designed for live production, it's easy to follow and frame shots with the large 7" viewfinder. The touchscreen has menus for camera settings, and you also have buttons for brightness, contrast and focus peaking A tripod mount with mounting plate is included for quick setup!
Transport controls
Hardware panels are great for quick playback control. Instantly start and stop playback using the spacebar positioned at thumb height. Shuttle, Jog Scroll buttons change wheel function for fast and precise editing.
Source Tape mode for scrolling through clips
Marking edit points is one of the most common operations performed by editors. That's why the Speed Editor keyboard includes large in and out point buttons that you can easily locate. This is ideal for two-handed editing, where the right hand is used for transport controls, and the left hand for setting in and out points and performing edits. Just scroll with the wheel and place entry and exit points wherever you want! Once these are set, just move your finger up to reach the editing buttons. In and Out points can also be used to shrink the source tape. You can then reassign the source strip to the entire bin by pressing the Escape key.
