Midi Polyphonic Squarp Squarp Instrument Hapax
Autonomous professional sequencer
A real centerpiece of an installation, it offers all the tools necessary to compose pieces in the studio and interpret them on stage. From vintage synths to modern synths, modular systems to your favorite DAW, HAPAX can sequence and synchronize all your equipment, while bringing you carefully elaborate tools, designed to maximize creativity.
Up to a million notes and events
16 tracks per project, 8 patterns per track.
Thanks to its biprocessor architecture, HAPAX can record and transform huge amounts of data into no time, without any problem.
MPE COMPATIBILITY
HAPAX is the first material sequencer which fully supports the MIDI polyphonic expression. Record the finest gestures, shifts and joints of your game, without compromising quality.
Double project architecture
HAPAX can manage two separate and independent projects, which can be played simultaneously. This allows you to compose or load a whole project while the first is already being read, which allows infinite games and transparent transitions.
Connectivity
HAPAX offers many connectivity options for perfect integration into any configuration.
Several ways to write music
Write a melody: Use a polyphonic or MPE track and take advantage of the step -by -step sequencer to quickly pose notes or edit your recording live.
Compose a rhythm: control up to 8 different instruments with a single track. The battery sequencer is designed to facilitate the writing of rhythms and the Jams.
give life to your synths
HAPAX incorporates multiple MIDI, polyphonic and non -destructive MIDI effects, as well as LFOS assignable on the project scale. Each parameter of these effects can be automated in the dedicated mode, and treated in the MOD matrix, which offers even more routing and modulation possibilities.
algorithms
Powerful transformation and generation of offline notes, at the end of your fingers. Harmonically reversing your pattern, generate a controlled random countermody, slowly increase the speeds, accentuate each fifth of hook ...
High resolution recording
Press the red button and save from encoders and 128 HAPAX pads, external MIDI instruments (MPE controllers included) or any incoming analog signal, at high resolution of 192 ppqn. Looper type recording, countdown options and metronome, punch-in mode, you will certainly find the options that best suit your workflow.
temporal elasticity
Each track has an elasticity value which changes its reading speed, expressed as a percentage of BPM. Double or divide the speed of a track quickly, or create slightly offset slopes which will remove slowly compared to the other.
Fluid assembly
The use of equipment should never hinder the creative flow. The Undo/Redo button allows you to go back if necessary, thanks to its complete history. In addition, the snapshot function allows you to record the state of a pattern and to recall it from a simple pressure. With the dedicated buttons to copy, paste and delete, Hapax offers a complete toolbox for the quick edition of your tracks.
Harmony, simplified
For a quick and intuitive construction of chords, the live agreement mode puts harmonic capacities within everyone's reach, with or without in -depth theoretical knowledge. With its colorful interface, the agreement has a synesthetic fusion of hearing, vision and touch.
Four modes to explore
live
Insomorphic keyboard: Think in forms to play your favorite agreements
Agreement generator: Browse a large bank of agreements and play with algorithmic modifiers
Live battery: the whole range of velocity at the end of your fingers
Step
Step by Step: Program your melodies and your rhythms instantly on the matrix of 128 pads
UTIME: Lightly move the note around its central position to create subtle grooves
Math & Chance: Create living, changing and complex patterns in the blink of an eye thanks to conditional trigs and probabilities
Roll: energize your rhythms with the repetition of notes
Loop points: Define in real time the start and end of your pattern
Project Scale: When this function is activated, only the scales can be added. No more ""false"" notes
patterns
Independent patterns: launch different patterns for each track, for greater flexibility of execution
Synchronized patterns changes: program changes in patterns for fluid transitions
Method of execution: Each pattern can be played forward, back, ping-pong or randomly
Length of each pattern, from a 16th measurement to 32 measurements, allowing long recordings of jams and polymetrical effects
Transposition: Play or program notes on the main TRSP track to transpose the other tracks
Sections: Save sections (patterns arrangements) and launch them in synchronization
Song: Arrange your chain sections to create complex pieces
Program changes: change of program by motif, to facilitate the change of preset during your live performance
Automation
All automation: Automation by pattern (CC, Pitch, AfterTouch, NRPN, CV, FXS, ...)
Interpolation: Draw envelopes with a few points, or program discreet events
Registration Edition: Easily edit or refine an automation already recorded
Fill the gap between analog and digital, with 16 -bit CV inputs
Automation virtually unlimited by track
Adjusted to perfection
We designed HAPAX from zero, by deconstructing everything we knew about the sequencing. We wanted a high -end product, with double -arm processors for calculation power and a robust but minimalist case.
As musical creation must remain a pleasant process, we have favored the buttons dedicated to touches combinations and imagined a clear interface as well as a simple architecture. We have tried to minimize the importance of screens for live performance, but the double display in gray levels helps keep track of things in a studio context.
A scalable bone
The HAPAX operating system has been written with particular care, by giving priority to stable and rapid operations. New features and new parameters will be added regularly. Are you looking for the latest version of Hapaxos for your device? Follow this link.
