Launched in 1970, the Neve 1073 Classic quickly became the mic preamp of choice for top producers and artists. Featured on some of the most famous recordings of the last 40 years, the 1073's powerful, punchy sound is suitable for all musical genres, from rock to rap to classical. The quality is legendary.
Designed and manufactured in England, the modern 1073DPX is produced to the exact specifications of the original with matched components to ensure sound fidelity. The 1073DPX has two channels of Neve 1073 Class A microphone preamplifiers, each with a 3-band EQ (fixed HF plus two switchable bands with cut/boost capability) and a high-pass filter. The combination of the Neve 1073DPX mic preamp and equalizer adds warmth and depth to recordings, brings out subtle ambiences, maintains spatial positioning and captures a more precise image - embodying, for many engineers and producers, the the essence of the true Neve sound.
Building on the features of the classic 1073 module, the 1073DPX introduces additional features with an integrated DI input, phantom power, selectable insert function, level meters, selectable headphone monitoring and I/O connectors on each channel for easy and direct connection of microphones and instruments. The 2U 19" rackmount unit includes an external multi-voltage power supply.
