The WL-20L is identical to the WL-20 except for the cable simulation. It is the best choice if cable capacitance has little or no effect on the sound of your instrument. This is the case with an electro-acoustic guitar with a preamp, a guitar or bass with active pickups, or an instrument with a line output such as a Keytar or the Roland Aerophone digital wind instrument. The WL-20L also works well with passive mics if you don't need the subtle treble reduction provided by cable simulation.
