The new 14 "HHX Medium hi-hat features a completely new design. Starting with a series of sparse hammer blows, followed by a batten stroke, then a denser HHX hammer blow, the result is a pair of cymbals which is thinner, darker and faster. A slightly larger bell increases volume and power, but these are cymbals which tend to be lighter than most medium hats.
