For the first time after Clara Schumann's edition of Schumann's complete works in 1879–93, all works for solo piano are published as part of an editing project. In almost ten years of meticulous work, all of Schumann's titles already published by Éditions G. Henle have been subjected to a detailed revision. Ernst Herttrich, Schumann specialist, put each edition to the test bench, also devoting himself to works hitherto absent from our catalog. The results are published in this collection, comprising six volumes, available in paperback or bound version and in the “Studien-Edition” series in a box set. They replace the previous four volumes (HN 108 – HN 115). Explicitly classified according to opus numbers, this publication not only brings together all of Schumann's piano works conforming to the current state of research, but it also contains informative accompanying texts, alternative versions and many more.
