The White Light is a hard-clipping, vintage-voiced overdrive inspired by the vintage dirt pedals that defined the sounds of heavy rock. We think you'll find it's much more dynamic, open and harmonically rich than the classic overdrives it shares its lineage with. This classic EQD overdrive has been updated with a new cabinet, top-mounted jacks and Flexi-Switch® technology.
Controls Gain: Controls the amount of distortion. Weight: This multi-functional control allows you to change the saturation level, bass response and overall feel of the unit. Level: Controls the output. Compression Switch: Minus (-): open with more midrange and bite. Plus (+): Crunchy and compressed with slightly less bite and a flatter midrange response. Flexi-Switch® Technology This unit features Flexi-Switch® technology! This style of switching based on relays and true bypass allows you to use momentary and latching type switching simultaneously.
For standard latching operation, press the pedal once to activate the effect, then press it again to bypass.
For momentary operation, hold down the footswitch for as long as you want to use the effect. As soon as you release the switch, the effect is bypassed.
As the switching is relay based, it takes power to get the signal through.
Power This unit takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1 mm negative centre barrel. We always recommend transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies specific to pedals, or power supplies with multiple isolated outputs.
Pedals make additional noise if rippled or improperly powered. Switching power supplies, chains, and non-pedal-specific power supplies do not filter dirty current as well and allow unwanted noise to pass through.
