The timeless silhouette that inspired the design of the VPB100 is no longer in evidence: the characteristic double cutaway that guarantees excellent access to the last compartments, combined with a single pickup and a 4-bridge bridge/cordier block, represent a visual signature that is more than recognizable. This classic configuration has been taken up by the Italian manufacturer Eko to make the VPB100 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all very versatile for beginning bassists.
High-quality craftsmanship.
Despite its affordable price, the VPB100's craftsmanship has been carefully designed to provide bassists new to the instrument with an attractive and well-made bass. The body, made from alder for strength, is highlighted by a glossy varnish. The robust and comfortable 4-point maple neck is topped by a South American Rupee fingerboard, which provides a soft and warm touch to the maple sound.
A versatile configuration.
On the electronics side, the VPB100 is equipped with a single-coil P-type pickup, which is highly appreciated for its versatility. It is very comfortable with warm, clear sounds, but can also be very biting and percussive when combined with a powerful distortion. To expand the sonic possibilities, a general tone control allows you to adjust the tone to be more or less bright. The bridge/cordial block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
