G&L Fullerton Deluxe Doheny® Electric Guitar The Fullerton Deluxe Doheny® brings together some of the most traditional option combinations on the G&L options ordering menu. The Doheny takes the offset-body bolt-on into new sonic territory with newly developed Magnetic Field Design? jazz pickups, the first on a production G&L. Naturally, these new pickups invite comparison with Leo's jumbo MFD? ASAT® Special pickups, since they use a narrow coil opening and a wide range of coils. But Doheny's MFD pickups are more jangle-oriented than twang-oriented, as befits a guitar of this type and with the P.T.B.* system added for maximum versatility. With a classic jazz coil opening wrapped in traditional Formvar wire, these pickups might well be the approach Leo would have taken had he stayed with us a few more years.
