The Royal Blue Overdrive offers a wide range of gain, from slight saturation to distortion. With the Drive completely turned off, it can also be used as a boost with EQ. Filtering is limited on the overdrive to provide a transparent sound that you can customize using the Treble and Bass controls. One of the most appreciated features of an overdrive pedal is its touch sensitivity. Like the best boutique amps, the RBO lets you determine the level of saturation based on how hard you hit the strings with your pick and/or by adjusting your guitar's volume knob. The Royal Blue can add this level of expressiveness to any clean or slightly overdriven amplifier. The pedals in the new and improved Handwired series feature high-quality through-hole components, Alpha potentiometers and switches, and Switchcraft jacks, all housed in a custom-made sheet metal enclosure. .
