The Core 5 is the most compact model in our premium professional reference monitor range. It's a two-way nearfield design that was created to work in tight spaces, for a stereo setup, or to provide width and height support in an immersive setup. And, most importantly, to give you a usable SPL for these tasks—so if you're in an OB van or a smaller mixing room, you won't be straining to hear, and your eardrums won't be blown out.
This is thanks to the two Pascal Class D amplifiers in each monitor: a 280W unit for the midrange/woofer and 280W for the tweeter. Add to that the advanced DSP technology onboard and you get a flat bass response down to 45Hz at -6dB and 51Hz at ±3dB. Impressive for a speaker of this size, we think you'll agree.
