Collision Devices Crushturnal

Reverb / Delay / Sequencer / Crusher
The Crushturnal is a digital delay / sample reducer / reverb / clock sequencer pedal. This ambience and harmonisation pedal is divided into 3 parts:
  • Ambience (white settings)
Inspired by the Nocturnal's Shimmer effect, this is a cathedral-style reverb with cascading pitch effects that create a brilliant, expressive reverb.
    • FX Level: Reverb volume.
    • Diffusion: Reverb release.
    • Filter: Low-pass filter cut-off frequency.
  • Digital Repeater (grey settings)
Digital delay and sample manipulation. A robotic repeater where each repeat can be sampled and reduced to infinity.
    • FX Level: Volume of delay and sample rate.
    • Time: Time between repeats.
    • Feedback: Number of repeats.
    • Sample Rate: Sampling rate for the sample reducer.
    • Crush: Mix of the delay and the original signal, then sent to the sample reducer.
The Ambience and Digital Repeater sections are controlled by the (large and orange) Clock control. This controls the processor clock. It controls the length of the reverb and delay as well as the sampling rate.
  • Sequencer (orange settings)
A step-by-step sequencer added to the Clock setting, it simulates the movement of the clock according to the musical intervals and rate selected.
It also has a CV/Exp input to control the clock, a CV output to control other devices, a tap tempo and a Sync input to control its speed.
    • Rate: Sequencer speed, from 2 seconds to 5 milliseconds. Higher settings can introduce ring modulation.
    • Step Size: Each new step in the sequencer will create a pitch shift as it abruptly changes the processor frequencies by multiplying the clock control frequency. The Step Size setting lets you choose the extent to which the clock control frequency is multiplied, and therefore the musical interval created by the variation in clock speed.
    • Mode: Direction and number of sequencer steps across different modes.
