Serial Number: 04603 Weight: 4080g The Gibson Custom Shop represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sonic excellence. Each instrument pays tribute to Gibson’s heritage through precision, authenticity, and meticulous attention to detail. 1960 marks the last year of production for the original Les Paul™ Standard model, nearly identical to the 1959 model except for a few subtle differences. The most notable is a thin, fast neck profile, highly appreciated by many famous musicians who played the '60 Bursts,' such as Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney. This model also includes "Reflector" style control knobs for volume and tone, as well as enlarged double-ring tuners. The 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue from the Custom Shop is a faithful replica of the originals, using hide glue for assembly and chemically reconstituted plastics. Each guitar is built with extreme care, respecting historical accuracy, by expert Custom Shop craftsmen committed to delivering an authentic vintage experience.
