Create
Programme your own original sounds and styles with the PSR-A5000. Expansion memory has been increased to around 1GB. This allows you to create and store a wide range of high-quality content. The PSR-A5000 supports styles with individual rhythm signatures for each variation, giving you more freedom when programming styles.
Iconic Oriental instruments
The most important Eastern sounds have been newly sampled in greater detail than ever before. They offer multiple dynamic layers, in a variety of playing styles and have been mixed in stereo. Revo!SFX effect kits using Wave Cycling technology are integrated, along with Super Articulation! technology, to give you perfect control over the phrasing of each instrument. For ease of use, the instruments are grouped by category.
New styles
210 new oriental styles with even more dynamism and richness of sound. Choose from a variety of styles, including Khaleeji (36 styles), Shami (35 styles), Masri (15 styles), Maghreb (50 styles), Persian (43 styles) and Turkish (31 styles). The Style Section Reset function lets you instantly reposition the style rhythm to the start of the bar. This is particularly useful when you need to synchronise your performance quickly on stage. As with the tones, styles are grouped into categories for ease of use.
Istanbul string instruments
The Istanbul string section is one of the most popular in Turkey. Their sound has been recorded countless times and is featured in many of today's musical productions, not only in Turkey but also in international recordings. The PSR-A5000 offers, for the first time on an arranger keyboard, samples from this fabulous section of Istanbul string instruments.
Chord Looper
The Chord Looper function lets you record a sequence of chords and play them back, freeing up your left hand and giving you new perspectives on your playing. As the chords loop, you don't need to repeat them manually, so you can concentrate on your performance and other keyboard manipulations.
Drums and percussion
The extended drum kit function lets you play 128 assigned instruments from a single kit. Great care has been taken with the drum assignments to provide an optimised and intuitive layout for oriental percussion on the keyboard. Thanks to the use of the newly added key-off notes, the drum and percussion sounds are very natural, making performance and programming easier. Revo!SFX sets provide more natural drum rolls and greater expressiveness.
User interface
Range buttons provide easy access during live performances. Individual note pitches can be easily edited, stored and remembered as new custom scales. Assign your favourite functions and settings to the assignable knobs, live control buttons, joystick, pedals and home screen shortcuts. The FSB keyboard, made from a soft-touch material, offers outstanding playability thanks to higher initial resistance and longer key travel. The 7-inch touchscreen and new user interface provide instinctive control of the instrument's powerful features.
New Portamento
The new Crossfade Portamento function adds velocity and time parameters to the portamento. The speed of transition and the velocity between notes can be modified, enabling smooth, expressive transitions between successive notes. See the "Audio & Video" tab to easily recognise the natural behaviour of the instruments obtained with the new portamento.
Additional outputs
The PSR-A5000 has two SUB line-out outputs that you can use to adapt to any situation. Try routing the bass through a subwoofer for a deeper, more powerful sound, or send different tracks or drum parts to an external console to further shape your mix.
