The Debut 50R is a simple and elegant all-analog alternative to entry-level digital modeling amps. Ideal for guitarists with effects pedals, the Debut 50R focuses more on sound and ease of use than on unnecessary extra features. This versatile amp is perfect for guitarists of all skill levels, whether they're jamming at home, practicing in a small room, or performing on stage.
Features have been carefully selected to meet the needs of all guitarists: two foot switchable channels (via optional footswitch), patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone control, up to 5W of power reduction, serial effects loop and built-in digital Plate and Hall reverb. This amplifier is available in two vintage finishes: cream with oxblood grille or black with cookie grille.
To achieve the natural sonic response of a tube amplifier, Blackstar's UK-based design team chose to implement a MOSFET (field effect transistor) preamplifier. The compression characteristics of MOSFETs are similar to those of tubes. Our research and development team went beyond other manufacturers' MOSFET implementations to come up with a preamplifier design that is virtually indistinguishable from established tube designs.
