The ST100 is an electric guitar with timeless lines that have marked every generation of guitarists since the 1950s. The timeless silhouette that inspired the design of the ST100 needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway for excellent access to the last fret, combined with three single pickups and a familiar bridge/vibrato block, represent a more than sufficient visual signature. This classic configuration has been adopted by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the ST100 an attractive guitar, ergonomic with its reduced weight and welcoming curves, and above all highly versatile for beginner guitarists.
Despite its very affordable price, the ST100's lutherie has received the utmost attention in order to offer beginner guitarists an attractive, well-finished guitar. The body, crafted from poplar for strength, is highlighted by a gloss varnish. The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped by an laurel fingerboard that adds smoothness and stability.
As for the electronics, the ST100 is equipped with 3 single-coil pickups, a familiar configuration much appreciated for their versatility. Great with clean tones and light saturation, they can also be very biting when combined with powerful distortion. The 5-position selector widens the range of tones offered by the instrument, with five positions associated with each of the three pickups, offering powerful sounds, and two intermediate positions wired in parallel for scooped, velvety tones. The vibrato block features independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string, and a classic vibrato to add a little character to your playing!
