The PRS SE Swamp Ash Special is a unique addition to the ever-evolving PRS SE Series. Featuring a swamp ash body and a 22-fret maple neck with a maple fretboard, this model introduces a fresh aesthetic and a highly versatile configuration.
It’s equipped with two 85/15 "S" humbuckers and a PRS-designed AS-01 Single Coil "S" pickup in the middle position. The AS-01 combines alnico and steel (hence the name), adding mass to the magnets for a punchy, powerful tone. Paired with a push/pull tone control and a 5-way pickup selector, this pickup/electronics setup offers players a wide range of sonic possibilities. The PRS patented tremolo adds even more flexibility.
Tonally, the SE Swamp Ash Special delivers tight lows, smooth yet articulate highs, and a satisfying twang—perfect for hot country, blues, and even jazz.
