Kawai KDP120 – Compact and expressive digital piano

The Kawai KDP120 is a digital piano designed to deliver the realism of a grand piano in a compact and accessible format. With its Responsive Hammer Compact II action, faithful sampling of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, and numerous educational functions and modern connectivity, it is ideal for both beginners and advanced players looking for a reliable and expressive instrument.

Escapement simulation recreates the subtle “click” of a grand piano, making the playing experience even more authentic.

Effects

To enrich the performance, the KDP120 offers several reverbs and digital effects:
Reverbs (Room, Hall, Cathedral, etc.) to simulate different acoustic spaces.
Customizable parameters via the Virtual Technician function (Smart Mode or Advanced Mode), allowing adjustments to tone, string resonance, pedal depth, and more.

Educational functions

Built-in lesson songs from Burgmüller, Czerny, Beyer, and Alfred.
Lesson function to practice right and left hands separately.
Integrated metronome with different rhythms and tempo settings.
Four Hands mode: the keyboard is divided into two identical zones, ideal for teacher and student.

Temperaments: equal + 16 variants. A choice of tuning systems used in different styles and eras.
Metronome: 1 to 9 beats, tempo 20 to 255, 9 beat types, 20 drum patterns.

Recording

MIDI: 3 songs, up to 100,000 notes in total, real-time recording/playback.
