Sound Lab Project The snare drum is the keystone of any drummer's sound. At some points in the musical journey, the player will embark on a search for the perfect drum to enhance their sound. With that player in mind, Tama created the S.L.P. series. Tama's extensive research and development process led to a varied offering of S.L.P. shell materials. Thickness and the specific parts were experimented with to find each shell material's full sonic potential.
This 12 ply 10mm Bubinga shel provides an extraordinary punchy sound with a large helping of low-end. The combination of 2.3mm flanged hoops and low-mass separate lugs allow the Bubinga shell to resonate more naturally.
