Enfantines is a suite written for wind quintet that revisits the most famous among them in a composition of medium difficulty. The richness of timbres, the variety of dynamics and ranges of the flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon, and the colorful harmonizations bring a new perspective to each song, through changing characters – sometimes joyful, poetic, melancholic, or humorous. The melodies flow one after another but can also be presented separately. Thus, young audiences can actively participate in listening to this repertoire and discovering these wind instruments. But Enfantines will also, of course, have its place in a concert for all audiences and will delight the ears of all those who have kept a childlike soul.
