Welcome to the new Fuzz Master General! This is EarthQuaker Devices' reinterpretation of the legendary Ace Tone Fuzz Master FM-2, an octave fuzz pedal very similar to the ultra-popular Super Fuzz. EarthQuaker took the basic circuit and redesigned it to make it more suitable for today's musicians.
The Fuzz Master General offers more precise fuzz control, capable of delivering a wide range of sounds from almost clean to extreme saturation. The Voice switch allows you to further refine your sound and get more variations out of this classic circuit. This switch lets you choose between germanium, silicon, or no diode clipping. This has a major impact on the character of the fuzz, the clarity of the high harmonics, and the output level.
While the original Fuzz Master used a simple footswitch to select between two types of sounds, the Fuzz Master General offers a Tone control that allows you to achieve a very bright and sharp sound or, conversely, a very deep and bass-heavy sound.
