Author of Chants et danses d'Amérique du sud, Chants et danses de la cordillère des Andes and Etudes latino-américaines published by Editions Henry Lemoine, Sergio Arriagada turned to the first years of flute while the previous two-volume collection, Etudes, was intended for the third cycle. The ten pieces, which can be ornamented and accompanied by an instrument other than the piano thanks to the figures mentioned, are brief and representative of Bolivian, Uruguayan, Argentinean, Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Chilean and Cuban traditions.
Tempo Flute n°16 (2nd week 2017)
A few years ago Sergio Arriagada published: the Chants et Danses de la Cordillère des Andes for the first years of flute and piano - Editions Henry Lemoine, (26062 HL) and the Chants et Danses d'Amérique du Sud for the first years of flute and piano - Editions Henry Lemoine (26570 HL) which, perfectly written, make it possible to associate according to their level of young interpreters of the flute and piano classes (1st cycle, beginning of 2nd cycle) and to make them discover through the intermediary of extremely pleasant musical styles marked. The new notebook is in line with the two previous ones and gives flute and piano teachers new texts inspired by South American music. In most of these ten songs, the performers will have to show a real rhythmic rigour. You will find inside this third volume a CD or figurent the complete version of each piece and an accompanying version only.
