Kawai CN301 – An elegant and expressive digital piano
The Kawai CN301 combines the authenticity of piano playing with the modernity of digital features. Inspired by the prestigious Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, SK-5 and Kawai EX grand pianos, it faithfully reproduces the rich sound and dynamics of a high-end acoustic piano.
Keyboard
88-key Responsive Hammer III (RHIII) action: Graded hammers that mimic the weight of an acoustic piano’s hammers (heavier in the bass, lighter in the treble).
3 sensors per key: accurately detects speed and repetition of keystrokes, allowing nuanced playing from staccato (short notes) to legato (smoothly connected notes).
Ivory Touch: slightly textured coating reminiscent of traditional piano ivory, pleasant to the touch and non-slip.
Adjustable sensitivity: 10 levels to adapt the keyboard’s response to the playing force (light or firm touch).
Sound
Sound source: Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, SK-5
256-note polyphony: allows you to play complex pieces without note dropouts, even with pedal and layering.
Progressive Harmonic Imaging (PHI) technology: ensures natural transitions between dynamics, from delicate pianissimo to powerful fortissimo.
45 built-in sounds: ranging from acoustic pianos to strings, organs, and other instruments.
Effects
Reverb: 6 types to simulate the natural echo of a room.
Chorus: 5 types, an effect that thickens the sound as if several instruments were playing together.
