VerbCore Deluxe

The NUX VERB CORE DELUXE is a reverb pedal with 8 different reverb types: Room, Hall, Plate, Damp, Shim, Spring, Tre-Verb and Mod Verb.

  • Room reverb simulates a smaller acoustic space. In such a room, many of the reflections are absorbed by the soft materials, and the sound is only reflected and supported by the walls (covered in wallpaper), the windows and perhaps some of the furniture. Room reverb is the reverb that most closely resembles the normal ambience we are used to hearing in the real world.
  • Hall Reverb is based on the legendary Lexicon 224 released in 1978. It has that famous reverb tail that single-handedly defined the sound of an entire era. A large-scale reverb with a warm-sounding decay phase.
  • Plate Reverb was inspired by the EMT 140, the famous studio reverb found on recordings that have become classics, which used a metal plate suspended in a steel frame, capable of recreating reverberations similar to those heard in an acoustic space.
  • Damp Reverb is huge and infinite, warm and organic.
  • Shim (shimmer) shifts the sound of the reverb by an octave with each new feedback loop, creating a haunting, otherworldly sound. It's a unique effect that can open up interesting possibilities for experimentation.
  • Spring Reverb simulates the container or 'tank' of springs in which a mechanical disturbance propagates along a spring, creating a mechanical oscillation. For a 'dynamic' sound, Spring reverb is a good choice that enriches the bass. A classic surf reverb, perfect for rockabilly too!
  • Tre-Verb (Tremolo Verb) combines tremolo and spring reverb. It's like a vintage tube amplifier with a warm tremolo and spring reverb ambience that really gives your sound classic depth and dimension.
  • Mod-Verb (Modulation Verb) combines a beautiful chorus with a Damp reverb. The huge reverb gives an exuberant sound that's bathed in ambience.
