Alex Skolnick humbuckers have been designed to showcase both the expressive melodies and the aggressive palm mute that define this eclectic guitarist's signature sounds.
Designed with Alex for his signature ESP model, these humbuckers were a hit at the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop. Both pickups are designed to bring out the expressive melodies and aggressive palm mute that characterize Alex Skolnkick's playing. The bridge pickup is specifically wound to create an edgy pickup that accentuates mid-range frequencies. The neck pickup, meanwhile, is designed with a lower output level and a more vintage overall tone to counterbalance the bridge pickup's ardor and deliver a clear, articulate sound.
