Zimmermann played principle double bass for the NY Philharmonic, and taught at Juilliard, Columbia, Manhattan School of Music and NYU. Through many helpful exercises and patterns, this book teaches double bassists techniques to help them master the fingerings and bowing patterns needed to play this instrument.
