The original Carbon Copy, designed by delay wizard Jorge Tripps (who is also the founder of the Way Huge brand), has established itself as an essential standard for its warm and thick repetitions, typical of an analog echo. Some appreciate its great simplicity, but many wanted to control their time more accurately, to the point that many artisans have proposed modified versions of the M169. With the M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe, no more changes, everything is there!

Of course, it was out of the question to sacrifice the characteristic sound that made the original successful. So we find the technology "bucket brigade" analog, extended however to provide a doubled delay time (up to 1.2 seconds). Two voicings are selectable by a switch: so we can go from the original sound to bright, the brighter sound of the second version of the pedal. The two internal controls of speed and depth of the modulation have, for their part, been moved to the front of the pedal to adapt easily to each sound.
From the stage to the studio.
But the control capabilities extend far further thanks to a hybrid system that allows the flexibility of digital applied to analog sound. The most important novelty is of course the tap tempo, which allows you to enter your rhythm at the foot via the second footswitch and then choose how the M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe sits on this tempo. Available subdivisions are the eighth, triplet, sixteenth note and of course the dotted eighth, the secret of the sound of The Edge in U2. You can also switch from one preset to another gradually using an expression pedal. Finally, the studio sound engineers, who were already many to use the initial Carbon Copy, will find with the M292 an input level adjustment and a kill dry to adapt to use on keyboards or voice.
