The SmartScope Duo 4K model is identical to the SmartScope Duo, but features independent waveform monitoring so you can choose between waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, YUV parade, histogram and audio phase level displays. Each screen being independent, it is possible to display the combinations of scopes or images you want!
Precise waveform monitoring
When you need to analyze image quality with precision, SmartScope Duo 4K lets you perform professional waveform checking. You get seven of the most popular scopes in broadcast and post-production studios, including Waveform, Vectorscope, RGB Parade, YUV Parade, Histogram, and Audio Phase/Levels. You can also choose to view the current video. With SmartScope Duo 4K, you can now control audio and video levels with precision!
Image selection
SmartScope Duo 4K lets you choose which scope or image you want to display on the eight 8-inch LCD screens. You can also monitor video on one screen while displaying a scope, such as waveform, histogram, or audio levels on the second screen. It's a very effective solution that allows you to control video and scope in real time, all on one device! SmartScope Duo 4K gives you precise monitoring in all circumstances, and guarantees video production at optimal video and audio levels.
Waveform mode
Waveform mode is ideal for adjusting video levels or background black levels when performing keying. This mode represents a waveform that measures the luminance of the video signal by displaying the black and white levels. It is the ideal solution for adjusting output signal levels on broadcast recorders and for monitoring video levels during editing. It is also an essential feature for color grading and a reference tool for harmonizing background levels when performing keys.
Vectorscope Mode
The vectorscope is the only way to measure the colors of the video signal accurately! When grading video, the Vectorscope shows which colors have been removed to achieve perfect white balance. When you need to apply a tint to your image, the vectorscope allows you to see exactly the tone and the amount of color added. Monitors aren't always reliable, however, the vectorscope allows you to accurately view the colors you're working with. You can also use the vectorscope to harmonize the tint of the image on several recorders!
Audio Mode
Control audio levels using the 16 level meters that let you view all channels of your SDI video connection. The audio scope also includes a phase meter that can be selected across different SDI audio channel pairs. The stereo phase meter displays left and right audio channels on X and Y axes, so you can monitor your audio signal at any time. This makes it very easy to spot audio problems such as clipping and phase shift. When the waveform is not oriented vertically, the balance of the audio channel is not balanced. Thanks to the Audio mode, all sound problems are detected!
