If there is one element that has always remained important for forty years, it is the Sound. Designing amplifiers is a true quest for sound aimed at the musician, something we have defined as "The Art of Shadow." It is not fixed and changes according to developments and technical innovations, instruments, and musical styles. But watch any musician who stumbles upon the ideal sound, they squint, nod, or more often grimace: they have found the SOUND.
And that is what we are looking for. In the following pages, you will find the wide range of Laney products offered today to all musicians, regardless of their level. Each of them has been designed and manufactured by the Laney team, backed by forty years of experience in the "sound business." That is why we believe this new range is the best we have ever made.
Lyndon Laney: Founder and CEO
Volume limitations in concert halls push guitarists to use increasingly high preamp gains with lower Master levels, thus forgetting the benefits of natural distortion and compression from the amplification stage. With the new Laney GHR series, positioned halfway between the Lionheart amps (rather "classic British") and the Ironheart amps (oriented "hi-gain"), regain control over this amplification stage and blend the amount of preamp distortion with the amount of tube amplification distortion as you wish! When using channel 2, do not think of the OUTPUT control as a general volume but as a way to drive the amplification section more or less. Then adjust the output level with the VOLUME control!
