With its compact body and short 580mm scale length, the inexpensive CS40 is designed with comfort in mind for the young learner who would find a full-size instrument too cumbersome. Despite the reduced dimensions, the guitar still produces a responsive, well balanced tone and the specification includes a genuine rosewood fingerboard and bridge. An excellent starter instrument that will encourage youngsters to keep playing.

Order received and well packaged, this is the first time I order a guitar. The Yamaha sounds very good for a guitar of this price (around €110). The binding bleeds a little in one spot but it's really nothing and you can't compare that to a much more expensive guitar. My daughter is going to be 9 years old and it's a great guitar to start her 3rd year of lessons
