The PRO MIXER DX2000USB embodies the spirit of professional DJ mixers designed to chain sources, manage microphones with control, and ensure stable playback in clubs and events. Developed by BEHRINGER in Germany, it emphasizes low noise levels, generous connectivity, and performance-oriented features, while adding a convenient USB gateway for recording and playback.
This 7-channel DJ mixer is especially suited for experienced and professional DJs who mix across multiple vinyl turntables, CD players, line sources, or computer returns, while maintaining dedicated mic channels for announcements. It naturally fits in club booths, music bars, mobile rigs, and also studios for capturing sets, digitizing vinyl, or preparing content (mixes, shows, podcasts) thanks to its integrated USB interface and detailed monitoring.
The DX2000USB offers 5 stereo dual inputs, complemented by 2 mono mic/line channels equipped with ULN mic preamps, phantom power, gain control, and Clip LEDs to secure levels. Each stereo channel features a very musical 3-band Kill EQ capable of deep cuts (up to -32 dB), with an On/Off button to instantly bypass the EQ.
For computers, the built-in USB interface enables recording and playback of digital audio files, working on PC or Mac without drivers. On the creation and production side, the included software package features the energyXT2.5 Compact audio/MIDI sequencer (near-instant loading and multi-platform compatibility), as well as tools for recording, vinyl restoration, and spoken content production: Audacity, Podifier, and Golden Ear.
In performance, the assignable and replaceable VCA crossfader is designed for high reliability and consistent sound quality. The mixer also includes a 45 mm contactless Infinium optical crossfader, with adjustable friction and fader curve to tailor the feel to your mixing style (long transitions, quick cuts, etc.). Headphone monitoring offers level and PFL/Main balance controls, a disengageable Split mode, and a level meter for precise signal monitoring.
Finally, room-use features simplify operation: automatic talkover with separate Sensitivity, Time, and Damping settings, Main Mute and Main Boost controls, as well as Punch and Cut for enhanced mixing options. Additional outputs (Zone and Subwoofer) allow feeding a second playback area or bass reinforcement, while the "Planet Earth" power supply (100 - 240 V) targets low consumption, excellent transient response, and quiet operation.
