For many years, the famous bar, Kitty O'Shea's at the Hilton & Towers hotel in Chicago, has been the favorite meeting place for attendees of the Midwest Band & Orchestra Clinic Show. It was there that the composer befriended an American of Irish descent who asked him to compose a suite based on the traditional music of his ancestors.
