Fender CB-60SCE Bass, Laurel Fingerboard, Black

The Classic Design series rounds out with the CB-60SCE, an acoustic bass that goes above and beyond anything in its class. This model makes use of the same slim-taper, easy-to-play neck profile found on all Classic Design guitars. Its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides complement the concert-sized body for a smooth and articulate low end. The perfect companion for an 'unplugged' session, the CB-60SCE comes equipped with a flexible Fishman® electronics system that's well-suited to the stage or studio.

    I am blown away by this bass, for the price you really shouldn't miss out, it sounds very good. It is made in Indonesia but honestly it is very well made.

    First bass, so not sure if my opinion is very relevant... Nevertheless pleasantly surprised by the unplugged sound. I didn't expect to have so much sound after trying other electro-acoustic basses in store. Once plugged in, the sound is nice, but honestly, to play alone at home, no need to plug in. The sound is sufficient and pleasant for learning and practicing. However, be careful, if you turn up the amp volume too much, you quickly get feedback with this type of instrument. Negative point, the upper part of the strings buzz a bit on the frets. I don't know if I don't master the instrument or if it's a setup problem... I'll take it to a luthier sometime to see if the neck needs a little adjustment.... (Show more)

    Buzzes a lot, will probably have to go to a luthier to fix this. To be nuanced by the fact that the bass buzzing a lot may simply be due to it being electro-acoustic and the sound is therefore louder as soon as the sound is off compared to an electric bass?
