The Nux Optima Air is not a traditional electro-acoustic guitar preamp. It does not have exactly the same purpose as its cousin, the Stageman Floor. The Optima Air is a dual-switch pedal offering two distinct functions: an acoustic guitar simulator via an IR loader/capture (impulse responses), and also a preamp inspired by a globally renowned analog studio model known for its character and harmonic warmth (enhanced here with reverb)! In addition to providing 15 simulations/IRs of famous American acoustic guitar brands, the Optima Air allows you to create your own electro-acoustic guitar profiles (IR creation) using an audio interface and a condenser microphone, for example. The pedal offers 9 user presets and also supports third-party IRs. The impulse responses (IRs) are adapted depending on whether you play with an acoustic or electric guitar, as well as the type of pickup (magnetic or piezo) to optimize the final sound output. Finally, this clever pedal features all the necessary connections for both studio and stage use, including an effects loop, an auxiliary input, a headphone output, an XLR D.I. output, and a micro USB port for editing/loading IRs via dedicated editing software.
