Martin Guitar renews its famous Standard series with subtle but notable improvements, both in appearance and in the sound and playability of these iconic guitars. One of the main evolutions lies in the integration of a Sitka spruce "Golden Era" bracing, inherited from the Modern Deluxe series. This bracing offers a more vintage, airy tone and better sustain for a resonance of great purity. The "Golden Era modified low oval" neck profile retains the iconic profile of the Standard series while being carefully optimized to offer a more vintage feel. In terms of playability, the thinner and slightly beveled fingerboard combined with a refined string spacing at the nut ensure a more natural grip. The new Golden Era bridge, with its modern and harmonious curves, features rounded edges for additional comfort. Depending on the model, the bridge pins are now made of bone or ebony. Aesthetically, the few changes include the diamond-shaped headstock/neck joint, the nut following the headstock angle, as well as a heel with a cleaner vintage design. These adjustments are the result of feedback from Martin enthusiasts and long-time partners, bringing a perfect blend of tradition and modern innovations.
